I have been having problems with my thyroid gland for almost two years now. I have been treating it with prescribed medications that managed to keep my hormone levels under control. But, lately I have noticed that my eyes became sensitive to light, could it be my thyroid? What do you say?

I think that the best thing for you now is to consult your doctor. As far as I know eye problems are signs of Graves disease, where sensitivity to light are easy one. The problem with eyes might be so that eyelid cannot cover the eye which makes eye dry and damages it in that way. Please, consult your doctor, this can get complicated.

This is definitely something you should check out as soon as possible. Eyes sensitive to light are signs not just of Graves disease but it can be sign of many more conditions. Since you are taking medications for the thyroid condition it can be that it is connected with your medications but not necessarily.

Medical expert will know for sure what is in question and what is the best thing for you and what you should do about it. Maybe this is something not related to your condition at all and maybe your eyes are just photosensitive more than usual.  I hope that  everything will turn out well and that you will keep us posted about it. Good luck.
