You could have an STD from your symptoms, but then again, lots of things can make you ill. The only way to know is to be tested. Not all STD's exhibit visible symptoms.
Do you know your partners history? If, for example, you have only had sex with each other - nobody else, then it is unlikely that you have an STD. If there are multiple partners then the odds increase.
