I just got my pap smear results, and before I get to an ob-gyn next week I was wandering if anyone could help me figure out what these results mean:’ bacteria coccobacilli consistent with shift in vaginal flora’?
Other than this biopsy results were OK, so that’s a big relief since I did have one abnormal pap result years ago when I also tested positive for HPV. I guess this means some bacterial infection, but how serious is this? Is it some kind of sexually transmitted disease or what kind of bacteria is this? I do have slightly more discharge than usual, but it’s yellowish-white, has some odor to it but that is it – I don’t have any itching or pain or swelling.
