I’ve been in a committed relationship with my fiancee for 7 years now and when I had my last pap smear and exam the results I got were pretty shocking - pap smear showed I have CIN II cells, which are, from what I understood, precancerous or cancerous cells on my cervix. My ob gyn didn’t act surprised at all and continued talking about cone biopsy and possibly LEEP procedure, but the thing is, my fiancee is the only man I’ve ever been with.

So i know HPV is the main cause of cervical cancer, but since I know I didn’t get infection from anyone else, is it possible at all for cervical cancer to be caused by something other than HPV?
