Hi,

I went for my regular pap screening and the results showed I’m HPV positive and my pap results aren’t good too since as far as I understood my ob-gyn ASCUS result means I have some abnormal cells on my cervix. I didn’t know I was HPV positive either, I didn’t have any symptoms and my current partner doesn’t have any either. My ob-gyn scheduled me for colposcopy and biopsy which means there is some chance that these cells are pre-cancerous and I’m horrified they are, to be honest. I have to wait a month before I get to my appointment and I can’t stand not knowing what the chances are that ASCUS on pap screening result and being HPV positive mean I already have cervical cancer? And if cells are pre-cancerous will they remove them surgically?
