You have symptoms of pulmonary hypertension or pulmonary edema. Elevating your upper body while you sleep will help reduce shortness of breath. You have to elevate your entire upper body, not just your head. Compression socks may help reduce swelling in your ankles, and reduce the risk of a deep vein thrombus from dislodging and traveling to the lung (pulmonary embolism). Your condition is serious, and needs to be closely monitored by your doctors.
