been training for a local marathon. training going well until i got a calf strain, worked it out and it seems to be okay. chalked it up to daily hill work ( i live in a very hilly area) and old shoes. I now have a chest cold and seem to be very sluggish. ran 7 tonite and i felt like i couldnt go much further (90 degrees out probably didnt help). I have run 4 marathons in past with a 3:01 PR. i am a heavy runner 210 lbs. i am scheduled for a 5 miler this week. Shoul I postpone and maintain then wait a week. Any suggestions out there.

I have mixed feelings about running while sick like you are now. I would say to go easy to moderate. Maybe do some biking or fast walking/slow running, so you keep your muscles limber and blood flowing, while still being less aerobic.
