Yaz makes my sex drive weaken. and it hurts down there to have sex.. :( NOT TAKING IT ANYMORE.. my doctor said it is good for clearing yp the skin.. yet the side effets say it increses bad skin..

Ive been on Yaz for the last 5 years and I was really happy on this BC Pill, had no side effects. Before starting the Pill I would experience really heavy painful periods that would last for 5-7 days, but being on Yaz changed that, I had my period for only 3 days that were very light, so I was pleased with this. I've been blessed with good clear skin, so when taking Yaz it didn't affect my skin at all, my skin was good and never had any pimples, even when I slept with my make up on. I even lost weight when I first started Yaz, so was very happy with Yaz. Up until 9months ago. I started to experience severe headaches, nausea, abdominal pain/ cramps, weight gain, and my skin went really oliy and broke out in pimples not only on my face but my upper back also, not sever pimples but just new ones that appeared every day and a few that were painful. I consulted my doctor and he firstly asked me if I was pregnant, which I assured him that Iwasn't, which he then suggsted that I stick it out until I finish my pack of Yaz. I wasn't satisfied with the advice I was given, so I consulted another doctor, which she instructed me to discontinue Yaz for 2 months, then to start Yaz again and everything should be normal again. Also done blood test's and everything came back normal. I dicontinued Yaz for 2 months, I actually got my period in those 2 months, which I was happy about, felt alot better off of Yaz, my headaches subsided, my stomach pain went away and nasea cleared up also, except for my skin, I still had pimples everyday popping up. After the 2 months finished I went back on Yaz, and all the troubles I was having before all came back, but not as harsh, I'm still experiencing headaches, little nausea here and there, no period since started again, haven't lost any weight and my skin isn't oily anymore but pimples are worse.
I've been to my doctor once again to discuss changing to a different BC Pill, or stopping all together. I'm really not sure what to do, read up on Yasmine and Diane 35, as my doctor suggested these to me, but so much negative things have been stated regarding these. If anyone has had any experience as I have, please let me know what has worked or hasn't worked for you. I know that everyone is different in the way their body reacts to medications and BC Pills, but any advice would be good.

I was prescribed "a birth control pill to take care of it all" by my OB after I complained about sleepless nights due to hot flashes and moodiness before my period. I was a healthy 48 year old. I do not smoke or drink and exercise regularly. After 3 months on the generic for YAZ, I lost 10 lbs. That might sound wonderful, but it wasn't. Because of the diuretic in it, I was running to the bathroom all the time, night and day. At times I felt dizzy. My blood pressure went up by 10 units, and my cholesterol went up to 249. I had no sex drive and was very constipated. My hot flashed actually increase from happening just before my period to all the time. I started bleeding after missing the pill one day. I bled for 3 weeks until I stopped taking it. It has been 2 weeks since I stopped taking it, and I am feeling so much better. I can run again without feeling like I am about to die. If you are considering taking YAZ, PLEASE don't. I asked my OB about possible side effects and was not told about any of this.

I have been on Yaz for a month. I started it on the first day of my period and I have been bleeding ever since, quite heavily. Mood swings, tenderness in the breasts and of course lack of libido, in fact lack of interest in anything. I want my period to stop so i'm coming off the pill. I even have the numbness in my legs and arms. I have never taken a pill with so many side effects. It is scary.
