I had a mid-foot fusion (7 screws) early Nov. In a hard cast since then. One of the two surgical sites at the top of the foot scabbed significantly, about 3/4 inch diameter. After 4 wks, still not healed. And now, after 8 wks, still pain and not healed beneath scab. I'm getting worried! Treatment options? Thx!

Talk to the surgeon who treated you. They would know why you're not healing and would be able to tell you what to do. Give him/her a call.

Definitely call your surgeon, afterall they are there to help you even if it just to put your mind at ease. I am due to have mid foot fusion myself next month, are you glad you had it done besides the problem you are having or is it too early for you to tell?
