My LIS was done on November 11, 2009. I'm reading what you all wrote, and honestly this was properly the worst thing I've ever done. I saw the doc last Thursday, and I told him about all the discomfort I've been having, and he didn't seem to concerned. He told me that I have to give the incision time to heal, so the fissure will repair itself. I told him it's hard to convince me that all is ok, but the level of pain I was having after the surgery...actually the pain started on day 5 post op. Tomorrow will be two weeks, and this has not been fun at all. I have pain that lasts for hours after my morning BM's. By the evening I feel pretty good, only to start the whole process all over again the following day. I haven't had any bleeding or discard after the surgery, just the pain. I have been taking my vicodin regularly, but it barely takes the edge off. I guess I'm a bit premature in hoping everything will be fine, considering what all of you have been experiencing. Hopefully things will turn around for me someday soon, as I sure don't like how I'm feeling now. Any insite anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.
