My son just found this condition, i will use an endoscope 2mmorow PM to get a close up and the detail needed to at least record this finding. Useing a 10 time mag loop what a jewler uses i am able to make out what appears to be a scab like tiny peice of ? and where it protrudes from the skin i see a minute groove or tiny laceration of the skin behind the scab, once i have the pictures i would suggest other doing the same thing, also i will attempt to have the scab like substance veiwed under a microscope to ID the substance, i will post pics if i can, i am new to this type of cummunication

My son is not even one year old and as I was changing his diaper today I found this on him. The only difference is his was all white. I was able to pull one out and there is another one that is still covered by skin. Those of you worried about it being an std. I promise you it is not. But I still have no clue. We are seeing the doctor on saturday if the diaper rash cream he has does not get rid of it. Oh yeah, don't know if it makes a difference to any of you, but it is possible that it is some sort of bacterial grawth. My son has had a diaper rash for about 3-4 days due to diahrrea. We cannot keep him clean. I am not sure how often you all clean, but for all I know that could be the common denominator.

I wanted to post here as I discovered this same black/scar bump on my son's penis 3 months ago. I took him in to his family doctor who told me it was a cyst and to not worry about it. It would eventually work its way out. Now three months later the black spec is now bigger (about the size of a sesame seed) and I have now discovered another spec and several new bumps. My son won't let me try and take it out.
I know a few physicians and have been told definitively that these are a cosmetic concern more than anything. They are called epidermoid cysts and they can exist below the skin or when exposed to the air the sebum/pus turns black. It will eventually dry up or can be squeezed out. The lump will go away but will always come back unless the cyst is surgically removed.
I will be getting a urology referral for my son as these are fairly rare. I will probably not take the surgical route but If so then sooner is better than later.

I have this also I think- it is really really small black tip poking out of my shaft. It is so small I would not even expect a gf to notice. I'm sure its not an std- i've had it about 3 months i think and do not know what to do. Have not tried plucking it. It does not overly concern me but certainly want it to go away.

I too also have this, it started off as a pimple on the head of my penis, hurt like hell. Then it healed over and then the black splinter looking thing showed up. Went to the dr and it came back as herpes. Thats not to say that is what you all have but it could be a something you want checked, maybe a fungus.

Hi, my boyfriend has a few of these black splinter-like things on his body. He says that he found the first one when he was very young, around 5 or 6 and they have randomly popped up since. Whenever he pulls them out with tweezers the skin leaves a tunnel where it was, scars, and never fills back up or returns to the normal look of skin. He gets them in his underarm, on his buttocks, and he has had 2 on the shaft of his penis. We have no idea what they are but I'm slightly concerned and extremely curious. Let me know if you have any more information on this weird phenomenon.

I have this too, sorry I'm so late to the board. I'm sad that nobody figured out what it is in all this time. Yesterday I squeezed the spot up near the top of the shaft, and it popped out a little, then i used tweezers to pull it the rest of the way. Mine had two black dots on either side, shaped like rice, but after I pulled it out it looked like rice, and a little sac of dried blood, basically it looked like dead skin, dirt and old blood maybe. I took a picture of it after I got it out, ill email it to you, if you want to see it.

My 5 yr has this....about a month ago I noticed when i was Giving him a bath.I seen what looked likes a very very tiny splinter on my sons penus.Well I thought maybe he got from playing outside some how.Any way I removed it and last night I noticed it again.Same thing same spot.So I removed it again.This is weird....hes only 5 so I know it can't be any thing like an std.This is the only info i could find about and it relieves me a little.I plan on asking his doctor about it on are next visit!!

Pleased I came across this, I have it too, its toward the end of my penis where my foreskin used to cover and is like a solid black lump under the skin with a small hole at the side. I cant get mine out as the hole is too small for the lump although there appears to be one end of the black rice shaped thing thats quite sharp meaning I could get it out but it would mean piercing a new hole which I dont want t do. I went to the docs today but bottled it when there was a young girl watching over the doctor for experience as she wanted to be a doc, booked another appointment after though, I wanna find out what this is and hopefully get it removed its affecting my confidence with girls.
