I stopped taking birth control pills february 12th, two weeks before my expected period i experienced on and off spotting, the spotting was very pink/red and fresh and last for only two days .. I also have been having unprotected sex since, at least twice a day because i'm trying to conceive. At first i was very scared when i started to spot, but i was told it could be implantation bleeding meaning i may have conceived but then i was told it was probably a nasty side effect from stopping my birth control pills and i'm sure they're are many other things it could be .. but i was wondering if there is anyone who could give me some advice or suggestions as to what may be the problem i'm having and what to do ..

It is most likely that the stopping of the birth control pills have caused your hormone balance to shift very rapidly and since the hormones from the pill have direct effect on the tissue of your uterus that breaks apart and causes bleeding each month, it's quite common to experience spotting when you either stop or start birth contr5ol pills. And judging on the time when spotting happened it couldn't have been implantation bleeding - this type of spotting happens only for a few pregnant women and lasts only for an hour of two exactly at the time when your period was supposed to happen. So, the timing doesn't fit.

I should also add that i ovulated march 3rd, afterwards i experience terrible cramping, tender and swollen breasts, a lot of naseau but no vomiting along with unusual burping thats been going on for 4 days now, i'm sick with the flu as well since yesterday .. it's not too lovely , if it is the side effects from stopping birth control pills i'm glad i'm done with it, and thanks for your input :-)
