Hello. I am 1 40 year-old male. For the last couple of days I have been suffering from stomach cramps. They feel like a painful squeezing sensation and it comes and goes with periods of couple of minutes. I have been taking some pain killers, but the persistence of the cramps are starting to worry me. I don’t have any other symptoms so far. Any ideas about what this could be? Thank you!

Hello. There are so many conditions that can cause your stomach cramps. It may even happens that the problem is not in the stomach. It could be anything from constipation, a viral infection, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulosis, lactose intolerance, even food poisoning. It is very hard to say when there aren’t any other symptoms. My friend was found gallstones after a month of continuous cramps. Maybe you can make an appointment at the clinic or something, just to make sure everything is in order, and if not, so that you can act on it! Good luck!
