My 16 year old also has this problem - however, his blood pressure is high after each occurrence.  The last time it happened was last week while sitting in class at school and he woke up on the floor with his desk on top of him.  His blood pressure was high and the headache lasted for 2 days.

He's just had an EKG and will be seeing a pediatric cardiologist soon.
