wat is a missed period exactly???????

Hey Tweety,

A missed period is when your monthly menstruation cycle doesn't come.

A woman usually has a period every 21 to 28 days (depending on the woman). If you don't have a period in this time, then that can be deemed as 'missing a period'.

The most likely cause for missing periods is pregnancy; however, there can be other reasons too, such as a medical condition, medication, anorexia/obesity or stress & anxiety. Additionnally, if someone has just started their periods or is going through the menopause, missed periods can happen.

Hope this helps.
