I was just curious....do you have any idea what the substance is that I can squeeze from suture tunnels on my circumcision scar line? The material is semi-solid and pure white. Not puss-like; more like the material that makes up a black head - just pure white. Again, the material occupies the channels where sutures (only in for 10ish days) once passed thru.

I was circumcized 2 years ago at age 38. I am very hygenic. Any idea??Thanks!

I think you should have this checked by a doc! What if some bacteria entered these tunnels and are cause inflammation now?
Bacteria are not to play with, especially not in that area. The material you describe sounds like sebum, a substance produced by oil glands that is secreted onto the skin for lubrication. This material may accumulate sometime sunder the skin if it has no place to leave onto the surface. It is white (or yellowish) and semi-solid but bacterial may enter this area as well especially if there are little cracks or cuts in the skin.
Hygiene may have nothing to do with this because we naturally have bacteria on our hands and skin.

Answer: I'm pretty sure that's the remains of sutures (the kind which do not eventually dissolve). It would be good if you can get all of it out.
