hello ladies. I was wondering if any of you can help me. I had a prolapse surgery three days ago. I can say that I am still in pain. no matter how I was trying, there was no other option than surgery for this issue. what I could do about this than listen to my doctor. he told me that he wouldn't do that, but it was causing issues for me. anyway, since I am in huge pain now, I just want it to stop. I know that it can't go overnight, but I was wondering how long does it take to recover from prolapse surgery?

it depends. generally, surgery is not that complicated and so the uterine prolapse treatment is not difficult as well. once the surgery is done, you need to know that it usually takes 3 to 7 days to recover. sure, it is not the same for every patient, but when we look at the statistics, we can say that the most patients require at least some prescription strength pain medicine for about two weeks at most after the surgery. But this doesn't mean that you are healed totally. for the proper treatment and fully recovery it takes between 10 to 12 weeks.

Fun fact, I really do have so many friends who had problems with this. Thank God, I don't have it...Yet,,, And I really hope that I will never have this problem. Anyway, according to her experience, the recovery is pretty fast. Sure, you need to follow your doctor instructions, in order be sure that your recovering process is going fine. But, generally according to some statistics, it takes 12 weeks for the proper recovery process. That means that after 12 weeks you will be a new person. Sure, you can feel way better after 7 or 8 weeks, but basically, you are healed after 12 weeks.

Hello.

Look, I really don't want to scare you, but it is a mistake that people do believe that everything will be OK after first surgery. Statistics disagree with it and it is showing that generally believed that between 10-30% of women may require a second operation to treat prolapse in the future. Also, you should know that very small amount of vaginal bleeding is common after this type of surgery and it may persist for up to 6 weeks.  As you can see, it is very hard to tell for how long you will recover. No one can tell you this for sure.

I think that it is very important for you to know that success rates for this type of repair are 70-90%, which is really good because from this statistic you can see that there is a chance that the prolapse may recur or another part of the vaginal wall may prolapse. When it comes to the recovery process, it takes about 3 months until you are fully recovered. 5 to 6 weeks of the work is optimal. Also, during the recovery time, you should avoid any task that can put pressure on the repair. Avoid everything that can make a mess. Be careful.

Just now, I was talking to my friends. She lives in Australia, so I haven't seen her for a long time. When I think a little bit, I haven't heard from her for a long time as well. But, that is all a part of the life, right? Anyway, she told me that she had this procedure three months ago. She also confessed me that she is still in the pain and that doctor told her that she will be recovered within a month at least. So, she took everything to speed up this process and she is living a healthy life. She told me that she is feeling much better now and that she believes that three to four months are just enough for someone to get better, but only if you follow doctors instructions,

Hello girls. So, I have done this surgery today. I really hope that this nightmare and this pain is behind me right now. I am still in the hospital, so I am writing to you this from the hospital, hoping that I can get some support in here. It is not easy for me, I believe that you do have the same problem. I think that my doctor and sisters are mad because I can't move as fast as they want me to move since whenever I move I can feel that pain, sharp pain. I think that this is normal. The doctor told me that I will have some painkillers that should help me get better after a couple of months ago. He told me that I will be way better after two months. But now I see that sometimes it can last even longer, right? Is that means that I will be for two months in pain until I recovery soon or I can be totally great after two months?

Hey. I really hope that you will feel better soon. It is really hard to be in the hospital, you are more sensitive, especially after the anesthesia. But that is all normal. Don't you worry about it. Now, when it comes to the recovery process, maybe your doctor has a point, maybe you will be better after two months. He did this surgery and he knows how complicated it was. But there is only one unique rule to everything - to get better soon, you really need to listen to all the instructions that your doctor tells you. You need to follow every single step if you want to get recover soon. That is all. Be wise, you will be soon out of the hospital. And, you will be fine! Have a nice recovery!
