When you say you haven't been using the bc patch that long how long exactly before you had sex?
And the best way to find out is take a home test.
Next time you are going to have sex use a condom! Doesn't matter if he does with draw before if cums sperm can still be present in precum so think with your heads next time not your sex organs!

The symptoms you are feeling right now is not pregnancy it is due to your body getting used to the effects of the new hormone in your body and trying to figure out how to have a period. Birth control is designed to fool your body into not ovulating so that no eggs are released thus not being able to achieve pregnancy. The hormones released from the birth controls mimic pregnancy symptoms as this is what you are feeling now. Hope this helps!

Your welcome and I would also think about changing your contraceptive method to either implant, injection or IUD as well

I have thought about the birth control bar that goes in your arm, because I am not going to lie , I am and have been sexually active more than once, bit I'm terrified of needles lol , and would the BC patch not work if I didnt use it properly for a couple weeks than been back on it for only a month. And also I have had periods for about two years now, is my body still getting "use to it " and why was I late on my period if it should be on time with the patch?

You said in your original post you have not been on the Ortho patch for a long time. Changing birth control does this too as well as starting a new one. Each one has different types of hormones released into your body that your body needs to get used to whether you have been on bc for years or not.

So since I was on it for what I was suppose to be for the month, shouldn't I have started on time?

Not necessarily. Your body is figuring out what the heck is going on, new hormones remember?

If your going to take bc you have to take it as advised not when you want to or remember to or it won't work!
So you would rather have the pain of child birth because you forgot your patch than just a tiny injection what would take 2 minutes and the pain last 30 seconds then.

I guess that is true, specially since I am sexually active, thank you for the info and would I need to take a home pregnancy just to be safe?
