thick vaginal discharge after going off the pill

I've had this same discharge except I'm not on the pill and im currently breastfeeding my three month old. Was starting to worry about what it is, been having it for a week or so now, hoping its jst ovulation although I didn't think it would be so soon after giving birth??

I came off the pill 2 weeks ago after being on it just over 2 years, I've had sex with my partner without contraception but he did pull out, however a bit did escape inside me. I did go to the toilet and clean my self (which doesn't stop it) and we've used condoms since, and now I have thick stretchy discharge... Its worried me a bit because I'm not used to it, is this just me regulating again?

I stopped the mini pill 10 days ago after being on it for 9 months. Today, I had the thickest, long, clear, elastic discharge ever!  It is similar to what I experienced at the end of my pregnancies. Ladies, this is not your regular, monthly ovulation discharge. It seems to be a mucous plug of sorts.  The mini pill works by thickening your cervical mucous to prevent sperm from getting to your uterus. I believe that the odd discharge we are experiencing is the shedding of that "mucous plug" after stopping the mini pill. I don't expect to see this type of discharge anymore since I will be staying pill-free. I quit the mini pill because it seemed to cause me a LOT of emotional ups and downs. I lost entire days due to feeling depressed and crying for no reason. Also, my face, neck, shoulders, and back broke out in painful, deep, under-the-skin acne. I even had a big zit on the back of my earlobe! It was as bad as when I was a teenager and not taking any pills. So, now that I am pill-free and much older, I hope that this acne will clear. My emotional state is already much improved since stopping the mini pill and getting better daily.  Whew! I do NOT recommend the mini pill! (Prior to taking the mini, I was on the combo pill for years with no issues. Having hypertension and being over 35, I can no longer take the combo pill.).

Hello. I started taking birth control two weeks ago and just started my third week. This is usually the time I am supposed to be ovulating and everything is similar except the fact that it is brown and gooey instead of clear. I had unprotected sex and my bf went inside me when I just ended my period right when I started the pill. Idk if I'm pregnant or if brown mucus during ovulation is normal when you start on the pill. My period is due next week.

I just went off the pill and experienced the same thing. I was in the shower and a long rope of mucus came out of me. Periodically these stringy clumps come out now. It's clear, odorless, and really sticky. This is really creeping me out.... I quit birth control because I have heard of so many awful complications that can occur w/ longterm use. I'm definitely worried. Have become majorly depressed, experiencing chronic headaches, and even dizzy from time to time.

i have a 2 year old son, was on the after birth pill, then went onto this other one. i stopped at the end of my pill in december got my regular period and decided to stop taking the pll to try for number 2. i had my 2-4 days of ovulation right as calender end of december/ begining of january, predicted- normal mid month discharge, on which days me and my husband had sex.

now the week my period would be due if i were still on the pill i had this huge mucus discharge, very similar to what the mucus plug inpregnancy looks like, that came out 2 weeks before my son was born. i took  a pregnancy test, which was negative, as i also think it was only 10 days after ovulation and could be too early. when i came off the pill for baby nº1 it took me 3 months to get pregnant and i dindt have any periods and i didnt have discharge like this.

 

so if i ovulated at the beging of the month, why would i be ovulating again? reason why im more stressed to know is that im flying in 3 days time and im scheduled for an x ray in 10 days. What do you think ladies?? :)

Hi all, thanks to evryone for their input this feed is great! I was on the mini pill for 8 years and came off just 2 weeks ago, 3 days later I experienced this mucus discharge My stomach is also very painful similar to the days when I had periods!!! Although quite scary and painful it's really pleasing to think that it might be because I'm ovulating and my fertility returning! I've never looked forward to a period before. I get married in 8 weeks and we really want a family after 9 years of being together.

 

Thick egglike cervical mucus is a sign of ovulation. If you just got off the pill which prevents ovulation and makes your womb inhospitable, the discharge is either your uteris cleaning itself out or because of ovulation.

Had my withdrawal bleed April 22nd after stopping my pill on the 19th.(not ttc) the other day I started having white creamy discharge in my panties, enough for a liner but not enough for a pad. This is my first time stopping the pill (just moved and couldn't get a planned parenthood appt and plan to get back on) so I don't know what normal is. Had sex three times since my withdrawal bleed and all three times a condom was used. No breaks or slip ups. Also I began breaking out a little. Can anyone ease my mind as to what normal is? Does it sound like my body (with the discharge that I wasn't getting on the pill) is trying to actually ovulate and give me my first non pill period in four years? Crossing fingers.

How did it go? I am in the same exact situation. Did you ever get your period?

I went to the doctors with this, when ur on the pill you have a lining of mucus so sperm can't get threw, when you come off the pill it breaks away and leaks out which is what I expienced and which you will expirence at some point or already have

I was wondering if you've found out what it was? I'm experiencing the same thing but with sex being really painful

How long does this last for? I've been off the pill for three months now and I'm stil experiencing this weird discharge.

Hi ladies. How reassuring this has been! And frustrating that there's nothing clear online. I've recently come off the pill after seven years. I'm having difficulty with urinating (frequently although not much coming out) and LOADS of discharge (I'm having to wear thin panty liners at the minute). I'm really uncomfortable and becoming quite self conscious about wetness and smell. How long is this suppose to last?

Hello I'm experiencing the same symptoms now after stopping the pill 3 weeks ago did it last very long?
