In last week or so I have had a strange problem where performing any activity that raises my heartbeat to a higher rate (cardio, etc) causes shooting pains in few spots in my head on both sides. Pain is throbbing and pulsating and only lasts for few minutes unless I keep my heart beat up. It feels like there is lot of blood pressure being pumped into some of the nerves in my head and the pressure is causing the pain. It started after a night of beer drinking that left my hung over the next day. After recovering from the headache I continue to experience this pain every time my heartbeat goes to somewhat extreme.

Can someone shed some light?

I have a similar problem, but I've had this as long as I can remember. I have asthma, which I'm sure doesn't help, but that is the first symptom to disappear after I exercise. I've been trying to figure this out for a while and had no luck. I'm planning on seeing a cardiologist soon, but the prelim tests at my regular doctor's office showed a mitral valve click (which they said were probably caused by sinus problems???). If you find out anything else about this, please let me know! Thanks!!

I'm suffering from severe headache for past week. It's not in the morning but starts gradually as i work in my office and get worse after lunch. Same is the case after dinner.

It started after a workout at gym(exerting with weights), as a result i had to leave the gym as soon as it started and i'm not going to the gym now. I had overdose of whiskey on a saturday party and the problem started on monday evening at the gym.

Now, the culprict maybe 'Whiskey' or some more serious trouble(blood vessels damage or a tumour). The reason why i'm thinking this is serious because everytime i move my head at some angle, or i do a task which requires effort, weight lifting, or bend to pick or move objects - my headache gets intense and pulsating and it's not in a particular area, it's like my whole head will explode.

I've visited a physician first and he's given me meds for viral symptoms(although i don't feel like vomiting or have fever, it's just the headache which haunts me all day). Hope it works or else i'll have to visit a neurologist.

Mine developed over a period of time, felt like a hangover, but I hadn't had any thing to drink for years. My blood pressure was spiking through the roof. Went to Dr. he put me on blood pressure meds. (Bystolic) This has taken care of the pulsating pain. I have not taken any kind of medication before and on occasion have forgotten to take the med. on time. The pulsating comes back with vengence. Plan to seek specialist. Hope thishelps.

I have this same issue, but mine just started recently. I get these hightened, sharp pulses on either sides of my temples. It's very fast and go away almost instantly, but they leave me somewhat dissoriented for like half a second. Just started About a week ago. I wear hats and i thought maybe they were causing the pulses, but I'm not really sure thats the case.

I changed my diet as well, before they started. I've been taking a daily multiple vitemin every morning after breakfast. I'm a male of 22 years old. I shouldn't be having high blood pressure problems if i am. I'm not over weight either. I'm at my correct body index for my age and my hight. I can feel the pusles sometimes before they spark, but like i said it's only for like a second and it's starting to become dibiliting. I work overnights for a health company and I've been having trouble sleeping. Might be lack of sleep. Who knows. I'm still decided whether to go see a doctor.

May be a sign of a brain tumor. Recommend to get an MRI performed
