WOW! :-D I got the same feelings as everyone here. Tingling in the right side/bit numbing, and it's like a bit above my ear. God, did anyone find anything out? Maybe we should all go to the doctor?! :O
*I'm hypoglycemic
*19 years old
*Stressed/anxiety
*Last faint was when I was 15
*Maybe I am starting my period soon
*OR I might be a prego. Oh god. o.O

Anyways, I was worrying about aneurysms as well because back in high school a kid died in middle of class of one. I'm heading to the doc's right now. YAY ! :-P !

My scalp started tingling in 6 months ago. It will last for weeks at a time. Not sure if it ever went away or if I just ignore it. I definitely feel it more when I am sleep deprived. I thought it had to do with new diet pills with vitamin B booster shots. After researching, it looks it is more probable that it is related to to perimenopausal. I have sleep insomnia occasionally, burning calf muscles during my period. Also, during my period there is a burning only at night all along my back (night sweats?) Started exercising 40 minutes 4 days a week and watching what I eat so I know it's not diet related. Also stop taking diet pills 5 months ago. Doctor prescribed Nortriptyline for anxiety. I have had more stress in my life in the past then I have had in the past two years. Life has been good except for this tingling and the inability to diagnois whats causing it. Hoping it is only hormonal. Will see a doctor of women health soon. will keep everyone posted.

That is completely normal. Just like your foot can fall asleep, your head does the same thing. It is a circulation issue. Not a big deal.

Hey everyone.

I feel in a way relieved that I am not alone.

It's weird, it all started year ago. My left eyelid would begint to shake for no reason. It got pretty annoying, I also felt embarrased 'cuz it got so strong that I thought other people could notice. Luckily, it has decreased, I still get it but not as bad.

Then the left side of my head began to feel the same sensation, but it stopped. But now, I am getting it in the right side of my scalp. The same tingling sensation, and now my left eye has began to shake too a bit.

It's so weird. I don't have any disease that I know of. I pretty much have a good health. Maybe it's a circulation issue? or stress? Wish it could stop. :-(

I am going nuts on this feeling. I feel the tingling right above my ear on the right side. It always start at a higher point above the ear on my head. Then it feels like water or blood is slowly dripping down to the front of my ear and to the top on my ear lobe.

The first time I felt this I thought a bug was on me. I was, I believe, 19 or 20 when I first felt this. Now I am 27 and still feel this tingly sensation. But there are time when I do not notice it or it seems to go away.

I am glad to read that others feel this weird feeling.

Hi I am so glad to have found this forum because ever since a week ago I too have this strange tingling. It started on the left side of my head then I noticed it later in my hands and feet almost like electricity or feeling carbonated. I also quit smoking the time it started Im on day 9 now, also I have blood sugar issues and last I checked my BP was 168 over 172 with a resting pulse rate of 92 where its usually in the low to mid 70's. I dont know if I have high blood sugar or low blood sugar but this morning was feeling faint so I had a bit of grapefruit juice and it did help some. I cant afford medical attention so I sure do appreciate hearing Im not alone in this. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem on the left side of my head. It started about 4 days ago and i started thinking maybe it had something to do with my eating habits. So im sticking to veggies, fish and rice for a while to see if that helps.

I also work out doing martial arts and with weights almost every day. A while back I was training very hard for about 6 months and i noticed i started getting dizzy and headaches. I found out that I didn't have enough carbs in my diet. We need carbs for energy and for our brain to work right.

I hope i'm not getting this sensation in my head because of eating bad or not eating enough, but we shall see.

Thank you all for your posts and I felt like I should at least say something. It always feels good when others are on the same boat as you are, and hopefully people won't worry as much when reading from this forum. =)

I to have the tingling on the left side of my head and ear. I found this which sounds like a viable explanation.

"Your problem is not in your brain. It's an inflamation of the nerves that are on the side of your head. The ones that run through the muscles attached to your skull and through the skin. The tingling is caused by swollen nerves that are compressed. Think of like when your leg goes to sleep. Thats usually caused by a nerve that gets pinched when you sit down. If the muscles around your estaceon tube are affect, it can restrict the drainage from your inner ear causing pressure to build up and a temporary loss of hearing.

Everything else is OK.

To help your problem get better faster, it's important to keep the affected side of your head warm at all time. That means, cover up when you go into cold weather. You can also gently massage the affected area with your finger tips to keep the blood flowing in the area. A decongestant tablet may help to improve your hearing. It's also important to eat a proper diet and drink plenty of fluids."

Hi there, the tingling on the side of your head needs to be checked out by a doctor. I don't know what it is and it will likely turn out to be nothing but it could be anything from a pinched nerve to something more serious. Like I said, it will probably turn out to be nothing to worry about but please find out, okay? Let me know.

I've been having the same thing happen, on and off, several times a day for several months now. I have had anxiety issues for a few years but they seem to be going away.

Okay, nice to know everyone has the same thing, obviously we all do if we're reading this post, how about someone answers the darn question instead of everyone telling how they have the same thing frig... I'm pretty sure the first person that posted this wants answers on what's wrong, not all of you people telling your stories.... geesh..

I have been experiencing the same symptoms. Two nights ago I woke up in the middle of the night with tingling on the left side of the back of my head. It was on and off tingling in the same spot. I could not sleep. It happened once or twice in the morning and then went away. I had it again last night and I am very worried. I am forty eight and have not gotten my period in two months. I am wondering if it is perimenopause. I hope so. Any thoughts?

I just googled "feel tingles on one side of my head" and came across all these posts. Mine started today - on the left side of my head. I am not hypoglycemic, have anxiety, did not quit smoking (I don't smoke), and i'm not in menopause. HOWEVER, like so many other posts, I am about to start my period. Perhaps this is hormonal? If someone asks a doctor, please reply to this post! Good luck everyone.
