It is uterine lining. Since that is what your period is, it is shedding the lining of your uterus. It is normal and the only reason i know is because i had the some thing happen to me freaked out since the period before this one never happened. But it normal. If you dont believe me ask your gyno or primary care doctor.

This.

It is, in fact, endometrial tissue that has failed to liquefy. This can happen under the influence of hormonal contraceptives, or as is probable in my case, annovulation and/or estrogen dominance. I've passed full endometrial casts which usually appear as two triangular pieces of tissue, and I've also passed shreds of tissue as well. I would say that shedding intact uterine lining is more
common than we've been led to believe, as some women may fail to notice or assume they are just clots.

I have this happening to me, but mine is A LOT of brown small, rubbery tissue and I have a burning and itching sensation when I urinate. Once the first day of browning pass and the flow actually starts, the burning stops. It only happens on my cycle and I can't use certain soaps "down there" during this time either as if my PH level is too high. Any other time, it's normal. I do have so many fibroids that the doctor couldn't even count them, and I thought maybe it was that coming out. I am not on birth control and have had my tubes tied for 15 years now. About 20 years ago, I did use the Depo and it was horrible. I used it for 2 shots (6 months) and got off. I gained so much weight and I had a period that wouldn't go off. I would literally have a cycle for about 2.5 months literally and only go off for about 2 weeks, but still needed a liner.

What’s D and C?

A “D&C” (dilation and curettage) is a medical procedure usually performed under general anesthesia in an out patient setting. The surgeon uses a device to dilate the cervix and then, with the use of a scope (a small camera) they use a device called a curette, which looks kind of like a small melon baller or ice cream scoop, to scrape away the endometrial lining. The best analogy that I can think of is imagine when you’re getting ready to carve your pumpkin at Halloween and you use a spoon to scrape out the seeds and pumpkin pulp.

I'm on the nurvaring for maybe four months now. I also had my youngest child two years ago now. This same thing happen last period which I told the Dr an even she was unsure. Only thing I can say is to put it in something maybe an bring the Dr if it happens again. I'm noticing birth control to be a common thing with everyone saying they have seen this also maybe it has a factor in this!??

My friend and I are both in junior high. She said she is having excessive amounts of tissue during her period this time. Of course, she has never had sex. Can someone please explain what's going on?
