Hello! Can you please help me? I need some feedback about the disease called transverse militis. My mom was diagnosed with this and I heard that there is no cure! Is this true? What are her options for the recovery? Thank you

Yes, it is true that there is no cure at the time being. Patients are usually prescribed corticosteroid therapy to decrease inflammation. You can only hope for the spontaneous recovery of the nervous system. The recovery usually starts from the 2nd – 12th weeks after the symptoms outbreak. The recovery can last up to 2 years but if there is no improvement by the 6th month then it is highly unlikely that there will be any recovery. Around 1/3 of patients manage to fully recover.
