A vegan diet will do miracles. I had it in 2011. Took steroid drops but they did work. They made my eye pressure go up. I can do steriods. Later I was given predisone. Was on it for 4 months and I took myself off of it
I stopped eating meat, junk foods and the inflammation went away. For 6 months I ate vegetables, fruits, nuts, brown rice and beans, Quinoa, tofu etc. I ate nothing man made like candy, cookies, ice cream, butter, etc. It works. Today, I have fish once a week and I'm totally done with uvetis! !!

Hey Guys, I was just diagnosed with uvetitis 2 weeks ago. I've been on the prednisone eye drops but also looking for alternative methods. I found this binural beat frequency to combat eye inflammation and I'm finding relief and listening to it as I type this. best of luck on more natural remedies.

I have been suffering from Uveitis since December 2015. Initially I was put on steroid eye drops , then intravenous dosage of steroid and then on steroid tablets. Parallel I had started on homeopath as well. But whenever they used to taper the dosage of steroid it used to recur. Then I heard about this place Sreedhareeyam in Koothatukoolam( near Cochin) where they treat Uveitis patients through Ayurveda. I visited the place in June 2016 and undergone around 20 days of therapy there and I am still on medication. I am also taking steroids & immuno-suppressant but steroid power is only 5 mg now. My eyes are better, silent from then on. Ayurvedic definitely worked for me and I will continue till I get absolutely fine. With current eye condition, my rheumatologist might stop steroid during my next visit. Please visit this place and get the benefit.

Hi all - I've battled uveitis with the usual steroid eye drops for months but now know how not to get it at all for months at a time. When it recurs, I can always trace it to sudden stress. but think I can safely say - everyone on here has a good point. Uveitis can be kept at bay, permanently, by staying strong and healthy, permanently. Sure: eat everything healthy, including ginger turmeric, veg, fruit, all that. Exercise daily. Sleep well. Breathe properly. Don't get too tired or run-down. Take vitamin D in the winter. And be very very wary of looking at screens too much maximum one hour screen time a day, ideally, or wear protective glasses. Good luck!
