My boyfriend and i have been having unprotected sex for a few months. About 8 weeks ago i began getting sore after sex. My vaginal opening felt as though it had cuts on it and would sting whenever we bagan penetration.

I didnt see my boyfriend for 6 weeks while i went back home and we have been naturally quite excited to see eachother and begin making love again. After only two times however i have begun to experience the soreness again. It does not itch nor is there any vaginal discharge.

I'm not sure whether this has any relevance but my current boyfriend is circumcized and in the past (with uncircumsized boyfriends) i didnt have this problem. There feels like there could be more friction than normal.

I would appreciate any advice or recommendations for treatment as i prefer not to see my gp over this issue.

Thanks a lot

Well, your boyfriend’s circumcised penis could be a cause of your irritation.
Being without foreskin, there is nothing that lubricates the penis and the penetration could be causing the irritation of the vaginal tissue during sex.

When an uncircumcised penis enters vagina, there is no friction and everything goes smoothly but when a circumcised penis penetrates, there is a friction between penile skin and vaginal mucous membrane.

Did you notice maybe that this guy may need more time to get erected that the guys who had foreskin? This is because foreskin makes the penis more sensitive.

If your vagina is not wet enough when he enters, you may experience this irritation.
You could wait until your irritation clears and then try again using lubricants for his penis and prolonging foreplay to make sure your vagina is wet enough.

Hope this helps a bit! If it doesn’t, you may have to see a doc!

i am having the same problem, it happens the 2nd or 3rd time after having sex that day,...i feel like i have a cut on one side of my vaginal opening,.. it hurts like hell,..we always lubricate properly,.. it has been happening for the last few months, it will heal or feel normal again after one day but then when we have sex again it comes back...i had a termination 4 months ago and started thinking they might have damaged something down there while performing the operation but reading the other messages it seems that others are having the same problem....??????

I just recently went to the OBGYN for an annual check up and had been having the same soreness during intercourse. I don't know much about the uncircumsized vs. circumsized penis and it's relevance to soreness or infection. I do know, however, that soreness during intercourse is a major symptom of HPV which causes lesions on the cervix, which in turn causes pain during intercourse. It is important that you have an annual pap smear to check for HPV or abnormal cells in your cervix. HPV can cause cervical cancer. So it would probably be a good idea to see your OBGYN to rule this out. HPV causes a 300% increase of risk of cervical cancer.

you have no idea what you're taking about. It takes more time to get erect if you're circumcised? Absolute BS

I'm having soreness in my vagina, what can I do to help it? Is there any type of medication, ointment, that will help with soreness /cut in the vaginal area? The soreness has come from having sex (and not being lubricated enough).

I am currently suffering from vaginal soreness, but I have not had sexual intercourse in months. I am on antibiotics. Could that be the cause of it?
