I am a normal man, in my mid-50s. By normal, I mean I did not have any part of my penis removed.  I am the father of two sons, both of which are also normal.  I was dead set against having part of their penis cut off just after their births.  The doctor had made a statement that my first son's penis would require a circumcision because his foreskin was too long.  I was insulted by what that doctor had said, since my foreskin is also quite ample.  I asked why he thought my new baby boy's foreskin would create a problem for him. The doctor told me it wouldn't look normal.  I told him I was not interested in his opinion of penis envy, and that I felt a penis that had part of it cut off was ugly. Both my sons are now in their 20s. We have discussed the circumcision issue between the three of us, and both my sons are so very pleasedI would not allow the doctor to cut off part of their penis.

Doctors get an extra fee for doing a circumcision, so many are quick to recommend a circumcision even when one is not needed. One must beware of such medical advice. The worst offenders are the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Medical Association, who are conspiring to push circumcision on the American public. They apparently hope to get an extra billion dollars per year from this program.

If one's foreskin is wide enough, it will retract if it is shorter than the erect penis. If it is longer, then it will never retract by itself but may be pushed back, however, it may not stay back. Some longer foreskins push forward again when you let go.

When a long foreskin is manually retracted, it gathers in folds at the base of the penis. The folds want to unfold and push the foreskin forward back to its normal position. A long foreskin is likely to slide/roll forward to recover and protect the glans penis when it is released. Some men simply cannot keep the foreskin retracted. This is not considered to be a problem.

The long foreskin provides superior protection to the head of the penis. Moreover, the ancient Greeks considered a long, tapering foreskin to be a sign of male beauty. The long tip is called the akroposthion.

The long foreskin may improve the sexual experience because of its superior gliding action.

Long Foreskin

The foreskin is an asset and highly beneficial. A long foreskin is more of an asset and more beneficial than a short foreskin. Moreover, the ancient Greeks considered a long, tapering foreskin to be a sign of male beauty. The long tip is called the akroposthion.

Long full-length foreskins will not auto-retract on erection. Only inadequate short foreskins will auto-retract. For your skin to go back, the foreskin has to be wide enough to retract over the head.

You are blessed with a foreskin. Many guys would envy your foreskin even though it does not automatically retract. You display great wisdom in wanting to avoid circumcision.

You are so lucky, I wish my foreskin was as long as yours. It won't continue to cover my entire head with an erection. Yours is NOT unattractive, many people would love to be playing with it. I hope you don't destroy what you have.

You can shorten your foreskin by leaving it fully retracted. If it won't stay in place, you can use surgical tape to keep it in place for the first few months. Over the course of about 1 - 2 years, it will get noticeably shorter. This is what I did. Mine was so short that it was like a cut penis. More recently, I decided I wanted it long again and started manually stretching it. Now, I can get it to cover the glans and hang over about 1/2". YOU DON'T NEED TO GET IT CUT!

Hi Guest:

If you want your foreskin to be longer, you may stretch it to make it grow longer. It is done the same way that circumcised men restore their foreskins. Just search for "foreskin restoration' on the Internet and you will receive lots of information.

You don't know how lucky you are to have a foreskin! Like hundreds of millions of other males, I was routinely circumcised right after I was born. Welcome to the world, kid...snip, snip, snip! This is a barbaric practice. God gave males foreskins for several reasons, the main one being to enhance the sensitivity of the penis head. Then came the practice of circumcision, which was foisted on the public as essential for preventing infection and disease. But the REAL REASON was: You weren't supposed to ENJOY sex, it was for procreation only! If you have a foreskin, you can keep that area clean by pulling it back, and washing off the head with a little soap and warm water. By the way, from how you describe it, your foreskin isn't "very large", it is normal. Keep your equipment intact, kid!

What the poster is describing is normal for an uncut penis. All your problems will be solved if you do some foreskin stretching so that you can fully retract it behind the head of your penis. Then you can wear it like an uncut one if you want. Don't cut your skin dude . Stetchy foreskin is the best.

Educate yourself on what function the foreskin has.
And everybody has different preferences, is that so hard to understand? Also the foreskin can even increase the pleasure for a female when used right.

My husband has a very long foreskin. When he has a full erection his foreskin extends a good full 2 inches beyond the glans of his penis. The foreskin retracts completely all the way back off the head of his penis. He is 50s so his foreskin has been retracted much more than a young person. You can actually gently stretch your foreskin using a special cream. You doctor could prescribe this for you. When you have an erection and masturbate use the cream to help you stretch the foreskin I think you will find this works well.

Circumcision is unnatural. Nature gave you one. Keep it. Never met a woman that cared about it. Would you cut your ears off because they are wrinkly?
