Hi, Molly Frost here, I am going on a chemo treatment next week , have an appointment with my doc today at 3:30, I am on 3- 20mg and 2-20mg oxycontin, gabapentin, an d clonazepam. This what my pain doctor wrote,X-rats if ger jbees abd gabds were rekatuvekt ybrenarjabke, /tge xrays cane bacj abd U gave sours in both, they hurt 24/7, CTof her cervical spine revealed multilevel degenerative changes, including uncovertebral arthiritis adn multilievel framinal stenosis worse on the left at C6-7, with possible C7 compromise. I also have fibromyalgia, panic attacks, sleep apnea. I have osteo arthritis in my hips and they are very sore. I sound live the popcorn machine in the moring, which can be good sometimes but sometimes it hurts. And my lower back I don't a tail bone anymore, my doctor told me that I have a back of a 70 year old woman and I am 51, and oh did I mention I am going through menopause and have been for the last 4 years. I start on my chemo treatment next week for 24 weeks. this will be painful too. MY clinic is haveing a problem writing out prescriptions. they actually had the nerve to ask me if I was selling my pills. I immediately contacted my advocate and she told me what to do. I live in a small town and I don't have anything to do with any of the people that live here. What I want to do is change my perscription today at 3:30, to HYdromorph-contin, I don't know too much about it all I know is that it is like oxycodone but stronger. Or I have another option ask the doctor for 6-20mg supedol(oxy) and 2-20mg oxycontin, to take at night. The pain doctor wants to give the Lidocaine injections, which I understand they last for a least a month. what should I do? Help

HI there, I think that you should ask the doctor about it because I think that it would really throw your body off otherwise if you don't. I know a couple days have passed--how are you doing now? Did the doctor prescribe you something?

You know healthnfitnessguy, I was very athletic I am still in great shape for 51, have absolutely no fat, this could be genetic too, my father was very thin at 55, actually he was under weight when he had his heart attack, me on the other hand have hep C, My doctor just wastes my time, you know this whole thing could have dealt with if he would have just given me one more pill 20mg supedal/oxycodone, I mean last spring I was on 120mg and then he decided to cut everyone back. So I am going to another doctor today, and get his opinion. thanks for your support.

I'm glad to hear you're getting a second opinion. A lot of people forget that's an option and it's a shame because it's really helpful otherwise. What did he end up saying?
