I think I may be pregnant, I have a C1-C2 spinal cord injury & I have been on Oxycodone & Oxycontin for 14 years. (I'm 17 now) my question is, how safe is those two medications while pregnant? I haven't confirmed the pregnancy yet, but I'm almost cretin I am. Please don't judge me! I do not abuse this medication, I take it for pain. I'm on Oxycodone IR 15Mgs 8x/Day & Oxycontin ER 30Mgs 2x/Day. PLEASE NO BASHING! thank you in advance for the advice. Also, I've heard that the oxycodone is recommended during pregnancy because it doesn't pass thru the breast milk & doesn't hurt the baby either. I just need some second opinion. I highly recommend that you speak with your doctor about this matter. Doctors are trained and deal with this daily. Your doctor is not going to bash you, his interest will lie in the same place yours should. That's in the best interest for the child. Your situation is not that unusual, but can have major implications if not addressed early on in your pregnancy. By the way, stop bashing yourself!
