I'm having the exact same effects! I noticed my weight dropping. I did not gain weight nor lose any hair. I'm an athlete so I eat pretty healthy and consistently. No weird habits or scheduling. I'm literally in the same boat as you. I'm going to seek advise from my physician next visit, if I have to switch to amother method than so be it. I'm not havijg sex anyway so it's moreso for health reasons than anything. However, I have noticed a major change in my physique and I do not like it. I'm usually 135-140 & I'm a solid 3 sitting at 121.

I'm at the doctor now I use to be on the pills an it was hard for me to take them everyday but now I'm on the shot I had my second shot but I still be spotting I use to weight 139lbs but now I'm 120lbs an everything is smaller on me .

I was on the depo shot for 4 years and i lost so much weight. i was 140 i went down to 118. then I stopped using it and got pregnant 3 weeks after 1 stopped the shot. So now after my second child I am back on the shot. Not sure if I will have the same weight loss but I like the shot. I didnt have my period for 4 years. I am 30 now. iTS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE

yea i lost 2 and a half stone within a month and im struggling to put the weight on from the depo it also has now gave me a thyroid problem had tested before depo waa fine. ive been on from sept 15.

Hello I was on the depo shot as well and I just started it again today and when I was on it I was losing weight as well I didn't gain the weight until I got off the shot but the pain in your leg I can relate it happened to me but they say u have to drink a glass of milk everyday to make up the loss of calcium from the shot. When I drinked the milk I felt fine no pain or nothing

Umm I just started taking the shot a month ago and 10 lbs down. And it's not like I needed to loose weight too. I went from a 6 to a 2. I'm not complaining, but I do think it is because the depo shot. I am a canablis smoker as well so I eat!! Diet hasn't changed, but I do feel other symptoms.. nausea, lightheaded, decrease of sex drive(which really sucks), and a little bit phsyco.. I don't think I can handle all the hormones at once. I believe this past shot will be my first and only. But it is really nice to have no period.

I got the depo in 2011 till now.& I swear I cant gain weight.before I got on the depo I was a good 120 big hips and butt now it's kinda gone.currently weighing 110.Im a daily cannabis smoker and haven't changed any of my eating habits either.I know it's the depo shot.I'm up for my next shot but I'm skipping it.I'll wait a month and let you guys know where I'm at

I am on the shot as well and the same happened to me. I was 130 and I went down to 115 I can't believe the change and It's horrible I wouldn't recommend the shot to anyone. I am trying so hard to gain my weight back after I got off of it.

I'm also on the depo shot I'm 16 and I lost a lot of weight as well I used to be 115 and now I'm 93 pounds I lost about 3 cup sizes in bras I was a 38 B now I'm a 32 B I have a side by side picture of myself from before I was on the shot to now and I lost a lot of weight in my arms face thighs my face is much more skinnier and you can see my collar bones very very well I'm not sure if I should switch or not I know the symptoms to the shot says that it is normal for a decrease in breast size but I think I lost way too much weight and I'm constantly always sick at least every other week I'm also not able to keep myself awake throughout the day anymore

I have the same questions and I am slightly worried. Since I started the depo shot after being off of it for 2 years I have lost 20 pounds in 4 months. I have not changed my diet, I don't go to the gym and I eat like a cow.. My breast are always tender and I have a decrease in body hair. I don't know if I maybe have a hormonal problem when I am not on the shot but I am not sure if I should be alarmed.

Im experiencing the same thing. I started the depo in march and I've lost a lot of weight, I've always been between 104-110lbs and never drop below but I started losing weight and dropped to 94lbs within the 9 month, I also got terrible acne on my face and back during this time. I suffer anxiety so I just placed the blame on stress and worrying but I've had anxiety for years and never lost so much before. I was due to last depo last week but I just didn't go. Just not worth the risk of losing anymore weight.
