My best advice is to go pick up a copy of "What to expect when your expecting". This book explains a lot and yes it is very normal to be constipated while pregnant. Drink lots of water. At least 8 8oz glasses and eat foods rich in fiber such as certain green veggies or whole grain foods. This should help ease the constipation. It is also necessary to take prenatal vitamins but the iron in some may cause constipation. In this case visit a natural foods store,speak to an herbalist and get yourself some natural plant derived vitamins. Good luck and I hope this helps.
