I'm going to have to break down and go see a doctor. This is just ridiculous. I'm sick for the 3rd time in 3 months. 4th if you count altitude sickness. I don't know what the deal is, I used to get sick once, maybe twice a year. Now it's all the time. So much for people saying, "Well, at least you have your health!"

Just cold I guess. Sore throat, some fever, a little bit of congestion, and then when it's clearing up I get a lot of congestion and a cough. Anywhere between 3 and 7 days long I guess?

MED, have you ever had mono? My old running partner had it in college and I swear he was sick once a month with similar symptoms like you speak of for years. He said the mono weakened his immune system causing him to get sick all the time. Better see a Dr. :shrug:

Freshman year I got some martian death flu type thing and was out for about 3 weeks. I saw a doctor several times and they thought it was mono, but every single time I had a blood test done, it came up negative. And ever since then when I get sick, the glands right under my jaw swell up a lot. The docs never did figure out what I had, they just said it definitely wasn't mono. I guess it's something similar though; it would make sense. I'm pretty hesitant to go to a doctor though, because it's almost always a complete waste of time.
