Lupus isn't "inherited" as such. The relationship is actually poorly understood. While the odds of your baby developing lupus are increased there is no way to know if they ever will develop it.
It's an autoimmune disease. Anyone could develop it.
Usually there are external factors, not your genetics, that "trigger" lupus. Without those triggers, your baby won't develop lupus.
Remember too, medicine is always advancing. If they do have lupus then there may be additional treatments available for them.
