when will the methadone withdrawal stop!!!!please tell me so

I went off cold turkey , 6 days ago 100mg for 4 years.I had the sweats while on the stuff, they said that was a sign that I needed to go up. I did not. If you have a gym membership, steam room, sauna, whirllpool. If not sit in a hot tub and soak, sweat out those toxins, I drank lots of h2o, & cranberry juice, did not eat much, oatmeal in the morning , sustained me all day. The worst of it was the restless leg syndrome and arms day 4, Nyquil , I drank abottle of that the first 2 days, slept all day. If you do not feel like doing anything then don"t,I really push myself 2 dogs, a 17 year old, and husband. I do not stress it that is my trigger. I do have a script for vicoprophen 7.5 I take 2 in the am & 2 at pm, really helps the restlessleg&arm stuff. Drink tons of water I guess and sit in a hot ass shower. And don't stress the small stuff, & remember its all small stuff. Writing on this site helps too. Good-luck. Willow

I was on methadone for 4 years at 120mg liquid and i got to the point that I hated myself for having to take it and the $20,000 I had given to the clinic over the 4 years. So, I checked myself into bradford on 4/14 and went home on 4/28. They detoxed and tapered me over seven days with subutex. Only problem there was they gave it to me at 32 hours after my last dose of methadone. This is a big no no. It sent me into violent withdraw I had all the withdraw symptoms and then some. My blood pressure went 201/115 and they thought I would have a stroke. It lasted 6 hours and that was the absolute worse time of my life. I said that to say this I did take subutex again but it was at 96 hours and it worked perfectly. I took two 8mg first day then 6 then 4 and so on. the last day i took one 2mg and the next day i still withdrawed a little but it wasnt that bad. The hard part was coming home. because my family doesnt understand what im going through. Tommorrow will be 3 weeks since ive taken methadone (i took 240mg right before I walked in to Bradford) and it will be one week since I took subutex and I dont feel that bad if i can keep my mind busy. Its possible to beat this sh*t and im living proof. Just ask your God to show you the way and I promise you if you want to get away from it he will guide you. By the way all methadone clinics should be BURNT TO THE GROUND. They are only there to get you hooked and take your money, and they are good at it.
