I'm a 22 year old female, two sexual partners, had my yearly check up and my Pap smear came back fine.Recently I began to see a white, hard, bump on the very tip of my outter vagina lip. It does not hurt or itch unless I pick at it. A few weeks later I noticed a few more white bumps that had moved down closer to my vagina. Still these did not hurt and weren't bothersome. Just this past week I work up and had quite a few more of these bumps ( but these were red and itchy) underneath my buttcheek. I do not itch them, but when I have nothing comes out. They just itch. I went tanning a few times last week which I normally only do in the summer for family pictures, would this have caused the irritation? Should I be concerned? I called my doctor to make an appointment but haven't heard back from them yet. Please help, I'm beginning to get very anxious and upset. Thank you.

You need to followup with your doctor. It could be nothing at all or it could be an STD and the only way to find out is to have it evaluated and lab test. If either of your sex partners have bumps or wart like growths on the penis genital areas there is a concern that it could be HPV. FWIW if you have multiple partners you should get STD checks at least every six month. Besides you PAP did your doctor test you for STD's? This applies regardless for same sex partners too...

I'm a teenager and I've never had sex. But recently I've been noticing these small, white, itchy bumps that hurt on my vagina. What could this be?
