I am so confused. I am pregnant and my due date is August the 14. It has been changed several times since I started going to the doctor in December. I split up from my partner of 8 years in October. I had sex with a friend of mine from October 18th to October 31 sometimes protected and others not. I didn't use any protection on the 31st for sure. I then got back with my ex on November the 10th and we had unprotected sex that weekend. My period was late in November. It started on the 5th and was very painful but not heavy and lasted only like 4 days. I have two other children and with both of them I still had a period the first couple of months of pregnancy. I am unsure and I know my ex, who is the father of my other two children, wants a test regardless when the baby is born. Can someone please help me figure this out.

It appears as if your doctor is basing dates on the November period. This is normal, why? Because most women know exactly when their last period was.
You are not having true periods but you can have bleeding. If it was a period you would miscarry as the lining of the uterus is shed. This will make knowing when your last true period occurred difficult. Unfortunately, we need to know.
Was the November period on time? It sounds "different" from your description.
You said you had sex the weekend of November 10 (Saturday). If your period started on the 5th that would be days 5 and 6 of your cycle. If you ovulate early you could get pregnant. Normally, you'd ovulate between days 11 and 16 of your cycle, the day your period starts is day 1. Sperm can survive about 5 days.
Backing up a bit, your period in October should have started around October 8. You would ovulate between about the 19th and 24th, when you were having sex with the friend. Odds are that having sex much after about the 26th (definitely the 31st) it would be too late.
You will need a DNA test.

Thanks medic-dan. I usually have my periods between months like from the end of one to the first of another. My period in Novevember was late and it was as I described very painful and not heavy. My ex left again on the 18th of November.
