I was wondering why?
Here's my thought.
They are tired of thinking of what to cook to eat. I mean, there are only so many meals you can cook. After a while you get sick of making them.
Let's fact it, when I have to cook, I hate it. I can never think of anything new. I'm only 34. I cannot concieve of doing this another 26 years. It's to the point already that I think about it often during the day. I did not do this in my 20's. I just ate something.
As time goes on, it's just gonna wear on you more and more and more. And finally, no matter what you decide...you won't even like it anymore.
So, in conclusion, my theory is that they are cranky because they can't think of anything to eat.
Your turn.

Or because people keep asking them dumb questions like this--------.
I'm not cranky, I'm having the best time of my life even though the town did screw me out of my planned retirement with a zoning change that took away 50% of my expected retirement income. It happened the year before I was to retire on SS so I don't have another 45 years to work to plan a different retirement. But I found a part time job that I love which I will have to keep doing to be able to keep my home. So if for some reason I can't do it any more I may become quite cranky living in my car under a bridge.

There are plenty of things I used to do that I don't want to do again and some I never wanted to do anyway so I'm glad I have the "too old" excuse.

It's not different for them. Just because chronologically or physically they aren't young doesn't mean that they don't feel it on the inside.

I'm just an 18 year old in a 76 year old skin.
That's what I tell em anyway.
