Why do i bleed on birth control when i'm not supposed to?

I have been on birth control for around 6-7 year now but on two different ones. I havent had a period since i was 18 when i first had the injection and now on the rod, but just for the past few days ive been bleeding but there arent drips its more like just when i goto the bathroom theres blood on the tissue. My Rod doesnt come out till december 2013. Im now 24 and it started on my birthday :(.

you most likely have polycystic ovarian syndrom. I am 21 and was diagnosed with it this year. They put me on birth control and metformin. Unfortunately, it is not curable, only treatable.

Well I Start taking birth control about 1 month ago and i had sex... I forgot my pill for 2 days so I took all three the next day and now i can not stop bleeding. I have been bleeding like i am on my period for about 2 weeks now... What should I do?

Ok I've been reading everyone's story's & mine is somewhat same. But I do need answers if anybody has gone threw this. I've been on the pill for some time now but recently once I started taking a new month I started bleeding the next day. & I had just got off my period. No sex or anything like that for about a month. & I have scheduled a doctor's appointment to see if maybe this pill is wearing off. Has anybody else gone threw this what should I do?

I'm worried, this might be too much information butbut I'mon the pill and have been for about a year and everything has been fine normal periods at the right time and everything but the last few weeks after I have sex theres blood...not alot of it its just like a spot but yet any other time there nothing. I can go to the toilet and there's nothing in my pants but i can't understand why after I have sex with my boyfriend there's blood. And then recently I've stared seeing it in my pants and stuff theres not a lot its like I'm spot bleeding but I'm on the pill so I can't understand what's happening and why is happening now
