I have been on Suboxen now for almost three months. For the first 6 weeks I was traking two a day - one in the morning, and one in the evening, and noq I am down to one a day, and my doc is thinking aobut taking me down in about two months. I am scared, but I also have faith in myself, the doctor and God - I wasn't brought to this point to be dropped and forgotten. I do notice that when the suboxen worse off at night my head hurts, and in the morning sometimes I feel the need for it and sometimes I forget to take it till later in the day which tells me I am getting better. Recovery is hard. We did not get addicted over night so we will not recover overnight. I am comnig off a needle addiction, ( I shot my heroin) and was on massive pain meds because of two car accidents and Fibromialgia.

I have good days and bad days, but my worst bad day so far is better then my best day high. I highly recommend this path of treatment to anyone trying to get off any opiates. For the stories you read of horror of withdrawel from this, well it is all up to the individual. If you want to be clean and off the meds or heroin this will work for you. It is the best treatment o ther thgan cold turkey out there for opiate addiction and withdrawel. Going and doing 4 day detox's at hospitals will not work unless you follow it up with treatment and or Suboxen and you need a counselor, groups, meetings, and faith. Thank God for Suboxen as I will never be more thankful for anything else - it has given me back my life, my health for the most part and it has given me hope again.
