Afternoon, I hope someone with previous experience or knowledge might be able to help with my concern. I am currently in the very early stages of pregnancy (4-5 weeks). I went to the doctors yesterday with abdominal pain. After being transferred to hospital and numerous procedures performed, I was told to be prepared for an ectopic pregnancy. I went into surgery that evening to initially have a diagnostic laparoscopy, which was likely to be followed by full surgery. To my delight, the laparoscopy discovered that It wasn't ectopic and the symptoms were likely to have been caused by a cyst!! my worry now is, will the laparoscopy have had an impact on the foetus/pregnancy!! The doctors said it will be fine, but hearing from someone with previous experience will help put my mind at ease. Thank you so much in advance. Claire.
