Hello,
5 weeks ago I felt like my lungs were on fire for a few weeks. I figured it was because of a move from south Florida(humidity) to the cold dry air in Indiana. I really only had trouble when I exercise. The problem went away, so it seemed. Now, for the past 6 or 7 days every time I eat, it's like the food bloats out my stomach. When I eat I get a fist sized feeling of food sitting in my lower esophagus just above the stomach. I have had to throw up (aspirate) at least 5 times the past week because of this food sitting there trips my gag-reflex. Also, mouth waters. My throat only hurts from the stomach acid after I do vomit. I always feel dehydrated. I drink fluids but some of that makes it way back up. Urine is clear to light yellow so no dehydration yet. Mild headaches come a go. 7-9 hours of sleep a day but only if I don't eat and then my stomach makes plenty of noise. Can't lay down or symptoms become worse. I have elevated the head of my bed 4-6 inches. I have controlled diet( no acids, don't eat late, no fast food, no high in cholesterol either. It's driving me insane! I am starving. My watch fits my wrist a little looser now, so I think I am loosing weight. Sometimes my stomach cramps up if empty. But if I eat then I am miserable with the whole food sitting there and bloating. I find chugging milk helps when I know I am going to aspirate. I did receive the H1N1 vaccination 2 weeks ago (Nasal) Any suggestions?

My boyfriend has all the same issues as you do almost to the T except he also has acid reflux extreme and heart palpitaions racing heart beats and he doesn't throw up he does belch a lot though. For the food sitting in your stomach you should go to the doctor and see if they can do a test called a barium test where they give you a egg to eat that is covered in barium and they watch the egg digest, then there is also a water barium test which is the same thing. This will tell your doctor if your digestive system is working properly. If those tests come back abnormal, then you may have a loose valve that makes your stomach digest your food. That is what my boyfriend has unfortunately he cannot get the surgery because or doctor said he swallows air and if they tighten that valve then air will get trapped in his lower intestines. If you find anything out let us know we are still in search of a cure for all his medical problems also. Thanks
