Hi, I am a 13 year old boy and only 5 feet. Over the past 4 and a half months, I grew 2 inches so it's like I'm on a little growthspurt. My mom is 5'4 and my dad is 6'1. My sister is 5'7 but she's 16. In my class of 30, I'm the fifth shortest so that sucks. All the girls are taller than me. I drink at least a litre of milk everyday day and get at least 8 hours. I eat tons of food everyday and I'm wondering why I'm still short. I'm wondering how tall I'll be next year if I grow 1.3 cm every month (which I've been doing). Is there anything else I can do to get taller!?

Hi

You are growing just as you should be for your age; it is frustrating when you are one of the smaller kids in the class but you have been experiencing regular and steady growth.

It is hard to predict how tall you will end up being but I think somewhere around your sisters and dad’s height would be realistic.

You are eating well and getting lots of rest so you will continue to grow and develop but you can’t speed up the process or change the end result.

It is hard to not compare yourself to others but you are doing fine and everyone one grows and develops at different rates and times so you will catch up to or maybe even surpass many of the kids that are bigger than you.

Best of luck.
