Hi there,

I think there's no need for concerns. You're still in the growth phase. The growth phase is the period of human age between 10-16 yrs. During that time the growth hormone, also known as somatotropin, is very active in your body. Actually, a gland called pituitary gland (placed under your brain) produces this hormone. There're other growth hormones but especially this hormone, somatotropin, stimulates the growth of cartilage cells at the end of your bones, which is solely responsible for the vertical growth of your bones.

It means, you're currently experienced the phase called growth spurt.

However, the hormone is not the only important part needed for human growth. The genetic is also very important factor. It means, if your parents are not tall, there's very low chance that you could be tall.

However, if your growth during growth spurt period is not intensive, comparing it with years before, it could be also some growth hormone disorder. This means that pituitary gland produces lower amount of somatotropin or it stops producing. In this case, you should ask your doctor for help.

In your case it could be just a delayed growth spurt, but to make sure it's better to get exam by your doctor which could easily determine possible growth disorder and prescribe you adequate therapy.

I hope this helps!
