Hi folks. So my daughter (13) went for an eye test yesterday. The optometrist was baffled by the fact that when he shone the light in her eyes, they were quite slow to react. Her vision was 'normal' and everything else seemed fine. He's now referred her to the hospital to be seen by someone more trained as he's 'curious' to see why this is happening.

He wasn't concerned but I as her mother am! Has anyone come across this?? She did struggle a bit with the sunlight on our holiday in Spain this year - which would make sense if her pupils don't react quick enough to light. She also sometimes suffers headaches behind her eyes although the optometrist   put this down to her age, school, etc.

I'm now worried that there could be something sinister going on.
