26 days post hemorrhoidectomy

DR! You make me laugh! I noticed you edited it - what a sweetheart!!! ;-) XD It's funny actually! The only time I get annoyed is when guys - especially my ex boyfriend, calle me Dawny Dawn!!!!! It drives me insane!!! A coworker of mine said it a couple of times and I told him it reminds me of my ex, so he TRIED with all his might, but could NOT stop saying it! It's the same with you, it makes me giggle!!! You know I'm only bugging you right?!!! ;-) XD

Dawn, you are TOO funny. Hubby still in Hawaii, so my daughter is sleeping in bed with me, cuz I told her a scary story, yeah like three days ago! She's been using that excuse ever since. So here I am trying not to laugh, but of course you made me laugh and I'm like trying not to rock the bed up and down, CUZ Your story was flippen Hilarious!

My hubby goes out of town quite often and half the time I don't know where he is. I stopped keeping track after he went to VENICE without me. The only reason I know where he is now is cuz we had a deal that he couldn't go to Hawaii without me! That was the one place I would put my foot down! Well eventually after he left, I had to finially use the bathroom.........so I had to lift my foot and here I am typing to the CRACK OF DAWN group instead of baking in the sun...........

Oh well, still happy, see :-D :-D :-D ?

So I'm taking this stock class and I'm still looking for that million dollar stock. Hey, where's Lisa? Oh where, oh where has our Lisa gone, oh where oh where can she be? Oh, I bet she got her surgery this Wed. I hope she's Okay! 8-| I do love our Lisas.

One more thing. I just want to share this text about history of hemorrhoids. It seams that in the middle age agony of the anus was treated with hot irons.
Here is the rest of the text:
'Treatment of many diseases in the Middle Ages included prayers to patron saints for possible divine intervention. A seventh century Irish monk, St. Fiacre, was the patron saint for hemorrhoid sufferers. He developed hemorrhoids from digging in his garden, one day, and sat on a stone which gave him a miraculous cure. The stone survives to this day with the imprint of his hemorrhoids and is visited by many hoping for a similar cure. The disease was often called “St. Fiacre’s curse” in the Middle Ages.

In more extreme cases of hemorrhoids, medieval physicians used their cautery irons to treat the problem. Others believed that simply pulling them out with their fingernails was a solution, a solution that the Greek physician, Hippocrates suggested.

The 12th century Jewish physician Moses Maimonides wrote a seven-chapter treatise on hemorrhoids and disagreed with the use of surgery, instead prescribing the most common treatment used to this day: the sitz bath.'

Hi all... Well I had the botox injections yesterday... there was a cancellation. It was EXTREMELY PAINFUL!!!!! I was wide awake, with no pain meds, or nothing for numbing or anxiety... I cried the entire time and my body was like going through convulsions (due to the extreme pain)... I was shaking so bad and sweating and ripping off the monitors (for my oxygen, heart,pulse, etc)... They had to make me lay flat for a little while afterwards because I was hyperventaling and felt very dizzy.. I did not realize it would be this painful... I am sore today but the pain is not near as bad... It felt like I was being stabbed with lots of knives... My butt felt like it was totally on fire and felt like a swollen potato... I sure hope this was worth it? I'm doing mineral oil at nighttime, so hopefully when I have my first BM, it will slide on out..... I pray!!! Ok, I can't sit anymore... Love and hugs to you all... please pray for me.... Miss you all.. :-D

OMG!!!! Why didn't they numb the area or give you anything for the pain!!!!!!? MG you could have had a heart attack! That's nuts, did they tell you why? I HOPE AND PRAY that this works for you Lisa!!! Poor kiddo!!! :cry: Ice Ice Ice honey, and keep ontop of any pain meds, because if you give the pain one chance to get a hold, there's no stopping it!!!!

Can you imagine saying this to your parents "Mom, Dad! Gues what I've been made patron saint of?!!!!!" "Children?' "No!" "Nature?" " No!" etc. etc. etc. till many hours later, they are exhausted and say "CABBAGE!!!!?" "NO! Silly! Hemorrhoids!!!"

I would be named after something like that, "Dawn the patron saint of boils!" "Slugs" "Bacteria" "Nasal Blockages!"

Of course sitting on the stone cured them, he sat down too hard and they were pushed back in!!!! NOW DR?!!! HOW do they get the cure with the stone?!!! Have THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of suffers ERR "Used" the stone? LOL Of course Hippocrates suggested ripping them off your body - THUS the Hippocratic Oath!!!! LOL Especially the part, "I promise to rip your hemorrhoids off if you don't pay me in full!" LOL! And who knew there's such a thing as a Jewish Doctor and by the way Dr. Maimonides?! LE' CHAIM!!!!!!!

I am so glad that you have posted. We were worried for you. I don't understand why couldn't they give you anything for the pain. Why did you need to feel all that? Well the good thing is that it doesn't hurt anymore. I really hope that this will end you suffering.
Update us on your condition as soon as you can.

Dawn good one. :-) I really don't know about that stone, just found out from the text. You have to admit it was interesting to read it. :-)

It has been a little over 2 weeks now and I still bleed when I have a BM. I bled a lot on the last one and have been afraid to go ever since (2 days now that I have not gone)

I am about to but I am terrified because I hate the blood so much and I hate when I can't get it all out. I can't bear to have BM's more than once a day now but I guess I have no choice. I can't just let it hang out in me forever, right?

I really hope it heals soon so I don't have to bleed anymore :-(

Have you ever called your doctor? Have you visited him? When do you need to go for a checkup?
Try using some softeners before you go. It might ease up things a little bit.
Are you taking any ibuprofen?

Lisa, sweetie, wow you POOR thing! I'm surprised you didn't rip the doctors hair out! "oops! Did I do that? I didn't mean to doc, maybe you should have put me OUT or drugged me up or at least TOLD me it would hurt so I could have at least drugged myself!"
I mean SHEESE! I'm surprised that doc hasn't been seriously injured by a patient already!

Are you taking Ibuprophen and are you on pain meds now? So sorry, hun, I will pray for you right now. "Our heavenly Father, I thank you for bringing Lisa through this. I thankyou that your tender hand is upon her now as I type this and I just pray for a hedge of protection to be placed around her and her family. I thankyou Father and do pray for Lisa's quick recovery..........
I also pray for sky squids healing and for our Bambi's healing as well. You know the past, present and future and I entrust these precious souls to your care, my Father. Thank you, God- In Jesus precious name I pray. Amen!

Yes, still playing raquetball, but I don't always win. It wouldn't be as fun is I did. Right now I'm wrapping up my stock class that I'm taking, one week left. I just signed back up for college as well. I had taken off of college to get these medical things taken care of and I'm well enough now to get back to college. (otherwise I might sit on the couch and eat bon-bons)!

Dawn, Wendy, Dark Red? Thank you so much for caring about me so much.. I have not so good news. I went back to the surgeon today because I'm still in pain and having burning and some bleeding, and he said he'll give me 2 weeks to see if the botox will heal me (because my fissure is still there) and if not, I'm scheduled for another surgery (cutting one this time) on Dec. 1st. I'm praying so hard I don't have to go through this again... they will have to put me asleep and cut me open like I had done on the right side on July 15th.. A fissurectomy (well they call it a sphinterectomy or something like that now) and although, I have some skin tags, he says he would rather keep them there because he'll have to cut me open more (which will cause more pain and longer healing time) and well since we all know that I obviously don't heal well, I better just keep them suckers for awhile huh? :$ I truly appreciate your prayer for me Wendy, I about cried... it was so sweet... this surgeon is not shy about praying with me either. He prayed when I was getting botox (extremely painful) and he prayed that I heal today in his office. Totally different than my last surgeon huh? Yes I was giving pain meds, actually strong ones. Hydrocodone 10mg and I can have 2... but I try not to take them a lot because I don't want to get constipated but I took 1 1/2 this morning and I can feel that its worn off... This med is stronger than plain Vicodin... Its Loratab I think is the other name? who knows? I just take it and it helps! Thank you Jesus!!!!! I also have been taking Mineral Oil which has helped my BM's a lot! Wish I would of known this back in May.... Its a liquid and it has no taste or odor... I have not been able to take any yesterday or today because my youngest daughter and I, have a little stomach flu bug and I've been feeling nauseated the past couple of days but I still have been doing ok... no constipation or anything... Thank you Jesus!!!!! So I will keep all of you updated on my poor butt :'( I never knew anyone could ever have all these problems that I have had since May... Are you kidding me, a 4th surgery since May???? What did I ever do, to deserve this? Anyways, love you all and hugs to you and I will keep all of you in my prayers as well... even you skysquid..... I hope all of you are doing ok? Miss you.... ;-)

Hi Honey! I am SO sorry for you and what you are going through! I was wondering if anythign like this has happened to you before? Such as healing etc.? I wonder if it has something to do with your immune system or your blood type!? When you have a scratch or a cut, does it heal well usually?

Actually Bambi, that's a great question. How about it Lisa, do you usually heal fairly quickly from cuts, etc.? Speaking of healing and immune system, it wouldn't hurt for you to pick up some Airborne. It's sold over the counter at drug stores and its chaulk full of vitamin C. My husband used to get pnuemonia when he would come back from out of town trips until he started taking this awsome immune builder. It's now been five years since he's had pnuemonia. It's an efferdecent like Alkaseloer, so you let it dissolve in water first. If its hard to drink, mix it with orange juice and its pretty tasty. This would be great since you are also under the weather with a touch of the flu, because you need to build your immunity back up quickly to help you heal! It's about five dollars for a week supply, totally worth it.

Well, I'll be the first one to admit that my call and the doctor was wrong. I thought you had to do it without meds and I jumped to conclusions. I think it is absolutely wonderful that the doctor prayed with you and for you, that makes my heart glad. You need all the prayers you can get. Please don't look at this as "you doing something wrong to deserve this". Bad things just happen sometimes to us, Lisa. God is definetly not the author of bad things. I had to really grab a hold of that and think that through when I lost my baby. What I DO know, is that he is with us through our suffering and our tears. He says He will never leave us or forsake us. We live in a fallen world with disease and pain, but we'll be disease free when we get our heavenly bodies. I know that you already know all this, but sometimes we all need reminders and assurance. If you would allow me the privelege, I would love to share some blessings that I see in the just the little time I've known you, seeing God's tender loving hand in your life.

Your husband didn't have a job and now he does. You didn't have money for another place to live and now you have shelter with your mom to help take care of you, which to me seems better than you just moving into another place of your own right now with your medical condition. You didn't know if you were going to have insurance to handle this medical condition and now you do. You didn't like your doctor and now you have one that prays with you.
I would definitely say that God is listening and intervening on your behalf! And best of ALL...............You have the Crack of Dawn group as a support group that wants you to get better! :)

Lisa, I'm just wondering how you're doing? I'm really worried about you, please give us an update! Are you bleeding at all when you go? Is the pain getting any better? When is your follow up with your doc?

skysquid, if it makes you feel any better, I bled for quite a while too. Probably at least 3-4wks(?) Maybe Lisa could help you with what to watch out for, she has been through the "works", bless her heart.
