I had a medical abortion on 10/18/17. I started a new birth control pack on Sunday 10/22/17. On 10/25/17, a week after abortion, I was told all was clear and ultrasound showed NO pregnancy. I was sexually abused on 10/28/17, he used a condom and I had been taking my birth control for 5 days at that point, all on time. Today marks 3 weeks from the day I had the abortion, and I have pretty much stopped bleeding. I took a pregnancy test and it is POSITIVE. I took 2 more and all say positive. Could I still have the hcg hormone in my system even though I stopped bleeding? And how on earth could I be pregnant if on 10/28/17 he used a condom and I was on birth control???

Also, just to add, the abortion went successfully and it was not half as bad as I imagined. As far as the person who abused me is currently being investigated. At the time of the abortion I was 8 weeks 6 days pregnant. So maybe that is why it is taking so long to get the hormones to go away? These positive pregnancy tests are killing me :(
