Thank you for your positive reply. Much needed for people who deal with pain on a daily basis. On the other hand, Im not so sure that most people's posts here are a reflection of their attitude to the rest of those in their world on a daily basis either. This is a safe place I would hope to vent. I'm sure u can understand that! Don't think u would want others to feel bad about how they feel since u offered a blessing in the end!

I am so glad that you are doing great and exercising, what works for one don't always works for others, we must keep that in mind. Thinking positive, exercising, eating right, and seeing a therapist if needed is a start in the right direction. God does not give us more than what we can handle, that is for sure, which indicates that we are very strong people and that he loves us very much. I wish all of you well in your journey of a healthy life. God Bless!

I just want to cry I googled before my surgery and found nothing and now I feel like I just want to die than feel like this all the time. I had surgery 7 months ago and I was a size 4 and now I am a size 10 due to my stomach. My back hurts and my tailbone. I just feel like I am 8 months pregnant. My doctor just blew me off and now I am seeing a doctor in Philly who said my stomach is f'd up in his own words. He is trying to help me. I pray for all of you. I am so sad for all of you but I am glad to know that I am not alone. God bless you all

Hi Rhonda, listen if u want to cry, I guess u should. Good reason too. I don't know the specifics of ur case, but these procedures are big operations. Just think about how much ur body has been thru, the body suffers allot when it's cut up, it doesn't like it. So try to find some patience for ur body. I couldn't stand up straight for 8 months after mine, and had a host of other problems to go along with it. Back pain was also a problem along with rickety bones due to chemo therapy. Your just different now, but u will see that u will get better. Meanwhile, punch a pillow if u have to, then take a deep breath, it's ur right. Make sure to write down all the questions u might have to ask this new doctor. Keep posting!! I will look for u!!

HI..

I had tram flag surgery about 9 months ago and recently are having side effects that bother me..of course, I have a swollen lover abdomen which I realize that is normal....but lots of days my tummy bothers me that I try taking stomach relief pills/liquid..
I had hope this would be my last surgery as I had 6...feeling very uncomfortable daily and do not like telling the truth when friends ask me how I am..

I understand the not liking to tell the truth - after 6 years of daily misery, I feel like a broken record and feel like a whiner if I say something, but at the same time, I'm miserable! If you feel like venting, let me know and I'll send you an email address. I've made a lot of mistakes by NOT speaking up to the doctors and others, and learned the hard way!!

Hit the button too soon ... but all of your statements helped me slowly come out of my depression. Having really weird abscess rise near the surgical site. Looks more like a huge pimple and then it pops and oozes pus like liquid and bleeds for a few days. The worst part about these issues is the original surgeon has no idea how to fix it and another surgeon will not take the risk of trying! With all we endured to be on this side of surviving breast cancer, I am appalled at the lackadaisical approach to fix the problems. Each of you is in my prayers ... eventually God will send the answers and we will be whole again. God bless!

We must be our best advocate ... being silent will not bring about solutions! I can relate to the swelling and the constant pain. Right now I look about 4 or 5 months pregnant. Pain Management Specialist wanted to give me a "nerve block" which I refused. Its a guessing game and the more surgery you have, the worse the situation/pain!

I had a tram flap surgery in 2012 that I am now seriously REGRETTING. Have had abdominal pain on and off since that time. The reconstructed breast feels like a heavy weight on my chest. I wish I could go back and undo it all. What a huge mistake that was. I've seen several plastic surgeons, who all told me they can't confirm whether my pain is a result of the tram flap.Stomach is flat, but awful pulling sensation makes it unbearable most days. I would so UNDO this if I could.
