Hi, I had a c5-c6 fusion in December 2017. Since the surgery I’ve had the “lump” feeling in my throat. I’ve also had shortness of breath. Didn’t really notice how bad breathing was until about a month post op. Very winded under any exertion. This problem is getting worse. Had blood tested again today. RBC and potassium keep climbing. They were both at normal levels before surgery. Currently have a constant wheeze to my breathing.  Neurosurgeons PA denies any of these issues can be from surgery. Actually saw PA today and he said that is scary and I should follow up with my primary. Also saw ENT and had a scope. He says I have severe acid reflux caused from surgery. I had a scope done 3 yrs ago, no reflux at that time. This is all very frustrating. Surgeon was quick to “sell” surgery to fix my neck but didn’t say these were possible issues from the surgery. Also went for stress test today and have a holter monitor on. Scheduled to see pulmonary. I’m only 41 yo and can’t forsee living the rest of my life this way. Thanks for any suggestions.
