im a 31 yr old male with bright red blood on my stoole also a mucus type gel on it aswell but not always,i used to be addicted to heroin so i sufferd from constipation a lot now im currently in treatment using methedone so my symptems are simular and my diet is not great but i try to regulate what i eat.i now find that over time my stools have become large in size and find it very uncomortable to go,also after i go i usually get a smelly secretion from my anus a very small amount and again not always.i find that i dont get much warning when i need to go from me getting the alert as such ,if i dont go asap it can be very painfull ,i get a lot of bowel movement which can be a little uncomfortable at times and im now worried after reading your posts that it could be cancerus.please help p.s i have sufferd small cuts around the anus as aresult of enlarged stooles.
