I had surgery to remove hemroids in January 2007, I now have anal stenosis ie my anus got smaller and i have problems defecating and get bruised very often. My Dr suggested an anoplasty I just wondered if it is as painful post op as the hemroid surgery.

I just had an Anoplasty due to I had a fistula that took 2 years to repair. Now my rectum ended up being what they call a key hole opening, so I was have problems with incontience of Bowel. Anyways it was repaired on Oct. 17 of this year and I am still hurting. I had hemroids removed before and I found this to be more painful, but with good meds and lots of sitz baths I manage. Hope this answers you Q.
