I got my blood test #3 back yesterday with the results. Turns out my whole body is suppressed. Very low low in all areas including progesterone which is what helps your body manage itself. Without progesterone in your body you may Feel mood changes like depression or anxiety. My gyno explained it all to me at my doc appt yesterday which was more relief to hear.
Martha I hope you see this post! Absolute light at the end of the tunnel. I still can’t shake the constant headache but hopefully it goes away in the next month or two.

As for me I got the result of my Adrenal Stress Test. It says everything is on its normal level though I still need to talk to my Naturopath abt it I have one more blood test to do - My Serum Ferritin test.
What blood test did you do to check your progesterone? I might ask for the same test to my doctor to have it checked :)

I feel upset as I had depression several years ago and I had managed to get myself off anti-depressants and it was really hard but I was finally doing well for a number of years. I have seen on this post that some people have been suffering for years with similar symptoms after coming off the pill and it feels like all that work I did to get to a good place has been thrown away by going on the pill. My previous experience of mental health difficulties were also likely linked to contraception and it does make me angry at the doctors and pharmaceutical companies that don't tell people about these side effects and withdrawal effects. Depression and anxiety are serious consequences that can ruin peoples lives, yet it's completely ignored.

Have your symptoms changed at all? The sun has to help your serotonin levels I would imagine right?
Thinking of you!

I've been feeling ok with some setbacks here and there how about you? Im off the pills for 14 weeks already so that's almost 4 months off. If what i have been reading is correct they said after 4 months things will definitely be better. I can't wait for that time to come
Im also on the process of moving apartments so its a little stressful - maybe the reason why I've been feeling anxious lately. The head pressure/tingling sensation is the symptom that always comes back when i feel anxious.
Praying for all of us and our recovery!

Ladies- my name is Kelly and I found this forum after google searching “anxiety after stopping birth control”. About four-five years ago the birth control that I was on was causing panic attacks and anxiety. I stopped taking that BC as soon as I put two and two together. I immediately started feeling better (within three days) after I stopped taking it. But it did take almost a year and I eventually gave in and got a prescription for lorazepam (anti anxiety medication) ... I know people are against it, but if taking a little pill improves my quality of life, and I don’t have to suffer, then I’m doing it! I was extremely careful with how many I took. Even just having it in my purse made some of the anxiety go away. I had a full bottle and never took more than ten in the years I’ve had them. They are now thrown away for quiet some time. Now..... fast forward t o years later and I started getting ovarian cyst. Extremely painful. So, back to birth control it was. I have been on this for about two years now and I just started getting really bad acne so I stopped taking my pill four nights ago. And the paranoia, anxiety, panic attacks, depression are full force. Have you found anything that has helped you??? I had NO IDEA that stopping the pill could make me feel worse because the pill itself gave me these mental feelings years ago - and it was the exact opposite! ...... I need all the help I can get from you ladies. I am so paranoid I jump when someone in the same room speaks. I feel terrible.. but I am NOT GOING BACK ON THE PILL. My sex drive was nonexistent, acne, .. I’d rather have cramps than no sex and acne.
Ladies, do you know of anything I can try for severe cramps and cyst? Any type of pain medication, herbs, anything??? The over the counter pain meds do not work for me. Thanks In advance XOXO

Anyways how are you? I hope you're doing better sister.
As for me I'm spotting the past 2 days so I guess its period time. Which explains my high anxiety. Woooo! I just really dont like these setbacks but we have to deal with it the best way we can right? I'm almost 4 months off! I hope the trend that after the 4th months it's gonna get better and better is true. Crossing my fingers!

Thats great news with your period! wooo its all about the progress right. How was your move? Hopefully smooth? Any aspirations to start working again? Did I tell you that I bought the book Period Repair Manual? Ive read half of it...very insightful and gives me some clarity. Think about purchasing it!

**Kelly you are not alone, if you read some of the posts exchanged on here, you can see what has worked for various people. I (like Martha) have been off BC for four months. Things are better but I am beyond anxious to go back the way I used to be and feel. Patience is key- best of luck!
